Late guitar virtuoso Gary Moore performed a Hendrix tribute in 2007 in London’s famous Hyppodrome, a concert which will now be
released on Blu-ray this September. The CD/DVD will be titled “Blues for Jimi”.

Accompanying him at the concert were Hendrix bandmates Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell. Gary was famous for his powerful blues oriented rock guitar tone and emotive playing style.
He passed away in the February of 2011 after a serious heart attack associated with extreme levels of alcohol in his system. Mitchell also passed away in 2008 due to ‘natural causes’ attributed to alcohol.
