Soulmate  was formed around 2003 in Shillong, and is one of the biggest blues band of the nation and everyone loves them , because of their down to earth attitude and honest music.

They have performed all over the country and abroad. They are also part of many International Blues festivals around the world including Jakarta Blues Festival and International Jazz fest at Katmandu.

Soulmate is the brain child of Rudy Wallang, son of Shillongs famous musician Toto Wallang. Today, Rudy is one of the biggest blues guitar player and songwriter in the country with a very friendly nature for his status.Talk to him and you’ll surely find out that he is a down to earth and humble guy.

Now the other best thing about this band is the lead singer and guitar player,Tipriti K.Bangar.She has earned reputation as the best female vocalist of the country in a short span of time.

Just attend their live concerts, and you’ll surely know what I’m talking about! It’s a pleasure to watch her on stage. She surely knows what she’s doing and she does it without any ego, and completely knows how to set the mood.

When on the road, they avail of the services of session musicians like Sam Shullai,Ferdy Dkhar,Momo,Ambar Das, Shawn Nongrum,Shaun Nonghulo,Adhiraj Mustafi,Claude Abranches and Leon Wallang.

Till date they have released two albums..Moving On and Shillong
